I went to move the clip on a ZT0350ZPRCKT and came up against what appear to be a non-standard Torx head size, it looks like it would want something like a T6.5, which does not, as far as I know, exist. Any thoughts, ideas?

The frame and clip screws are all T6 and the pivot is a T8. What brand of Torx are you using? I would guess your T6 is slightly undersize. :)

^This. Make sure your T6 bit is in good shape and not twisted or rounded. Happens a lot with smaller torx, even higher end tools.

Yep. Bad torx driver is the most likely culprit. If you can't get replacement soon enough, you can grind the tip down slightly.

Low grade torx drivers wear and twist pretty quickly compared to the good ones.

Wiha is my brand of choice. Pricey but worth it to not screw up your knives.

Anyone got any suggestions on any brands that make some really sturdy torx drivers or bits?

Wiha and WERA are the "goto" torx drivers of choice among those who work on their knives. Both names are recommended from CRK and Hinderer. Good enough for them is more than good enough for ZT.

KAI uses Wiha, too. As does Ken Onion.

You can't go wrong with Wiha tools. Well worth the price, I've had my set for almost 20 years.

Thanks for the info, I bought a cheap Pittsburgh multitool at Harbor freight. Looks like I need a good Wiha set. I should know better, for automotive I use Craftsman or Snap-on. Hopefully I did not trash the ZT screws.
