What model ZT's are flippers, I assume the flipper is the stud at the top of
the blade when closed.

Stud at the top of the blade? I have no idea what you mean... The flipper is the part that sticks out the top of the handle when closed and forms the front of the choil when open. You flick it with your forefinger to open the knife. The 0200, 0300, 0350, and 0560 are the currently available ones that have this feature. 0200 and 0560 are unassisted, 0300 and 0350 are.

0200 - Non Assisted Flipper
0300 Series - Assisted Flipper
0350 - Assisted Flipper
0360 - Assisted Flipper
0400 - Assisted Flipper
0550 - No Flipper
0551 - No Flipper
0560 - Non Assisted Flipper
0561 - Non Assisted Flipper
0700 - Non Assisted Flipper
0750 - Assisted Flipper
0777 - Assisted Flipper
0780 - Flipper - Not Sure If It's Assisted.

I wouldn't really call it a stud, but I think we're talking about the same thing now...

An assisted flipper has the stud that sticks out of the handle, is that correct?

Not sure what you mean. Stud is used to mean a protrusion that sits perpendicularly to the blade - most often in some cylindrical shape - that serves one of two purposes or both. 1) as a method of opening with a thumb. 2) as a stop bar to prevent the blade from traveling further. With the exception of the 0200, if I'm not mistaken, all ZT flipper knives use a thumbstud as a stop pin, though they can be opened with practice using the thumb studs.

A flipper is part of the tang of the blade. It has no bearing on a stud whatsoever. For most designs, you use the index finger to push down on the flipper tang to make the blade swing open. Some designs don't have as pronounced a flipper such as the Burger LEXK, where you can use your thumb to push down on it.

You've Got The Right Idea, But It's Not Called A Stud Lol.
It's Just The "Flipper".
But Yes, It Is The Thing That Sticks Out Of The Handle At The Top Of The Knife On The Right Side.
It's Not Only On Assisted Knives.
There Are Knives That Have A Flipper That Are NOT Assisted, But Yes It's Most Commonly Recognized On Assisted Knives.

You've Got It Right.

The "Stud" Is The Stud On The Blade, That You Used To Open The Blade On A Manual Knife. Some Assisted Knives Are Opened By Pressure On The Thumb Stud But You'll Learn More About That Later On.

I've outlined the flipper on this ZT0301 in the green dots. The shape of the flipper varies knife to knife, but the function is more or less the same. So yeah, stud wouldn't be the way to describe it. It's part of the tang itself.
