Yes I pick last one last Friday. Sorry.

Vassili.

After handling the ZT300 at Blade, I'm thinking I would like to get one of these. I will, however, wait 'til more dealers get them in and the price drops below MSRP.

I highly doubt that will happen. While Kershaw doesn't keep fixed pricing, Strider does. And the proceeds are going to a great cause, so I wouldn't hold my breath on a price drop of any significance. But I might be completely wrong.

The cause, Disabled Veterans, was commendable. I just assumed this jointed venture would be like the collaboration between Buck and Strider. Strider concept, Company X manufacturing and distribution. Ergo - MSRP would only be *that*, "suggested."

Maybe not... Neat knife though.:D

The design is more Ken Onion with a STRIDER attire... Strider has little or nothing to do with mfg. of the piece. Due to limited production, price may never be to far for MSRP...

Hi all,
I don't think you will see too many ZT knives discounted far from MSRP, as we do not have a distributor program attached to the line. ZT will be dealer direct only, and we are being very selective in dictating where the product goes. As time goes on, you will probably see more and more dealers brought into the mix, but to date, the knives are limited in their production, thus the restricted dealers and the pricing you will see.
Hopefully this will shed a little more light on this new line.

To add, the 0200 manual folder and the 0301/0302 Onion/Strider folder (literally a handful) are the only ZT knives that have shipped at this time. The 0100 fixed blade, and the 0400 Scavenger are both going to be shipped in limited quantities this month.

Thanks for the answers Thomas et al. The rep at Blade mentioned nothing about limited quantity runs and I only made assumptions. Especially since the $295 MSRP at TADGear was for a "1ST PRODUCTION SERIAL NUMBERED RUN."

My reasoning was flawed... and I still want a ZT-0301. :D
I'm not sure that my budget/need can swallow $295 for it... but it does seem like a great folder. Nicely done!

Paddling_man, I should qualify that all ZT knives are regular production, but we are just not making too many of any of the models at this time.
