ZT Liner Lock Jam....Help!

I just recently did some cleaning on my ZT 200 folding knife. I thought I might use a little bit of silicone oil on the pivot after cleaning out all the dust in the frame. But to my surprise the action got slower and for some reason the liner lock is now very difficult to release, as if the lock now engages a bit farther to the right. I'm shocked that the oil would have any effect on how the liner lock engages. Rookie mistake with the silicone? Please help...need to save my ZT!

My thoughts..

I always use Breakfree on my knives , one day at work I decided to try tom graphite spray lube on my Leek , the action immediatly gummed , and I had to flush it out several times with more CLP , lesson learned, do not mix lubricants.

Ihave no idea though why that would affect your liner , unless the blade is not opeing up all the way and the liner cannot engage fully.

You could try taking a pencil and cover the end of the lockbar or/and the tang of the blade with graphite where the two make contact which should cause it to not stick so bad. YMMV
