ZT lockback?

I notice that as ZT grows they seem to be constantly coming out with new models/designs. I own several and am extremely happy with all my ZT knives. Any chance of a ZT lockback? I just have a weakness for lockbacks and Zero Tolerance Knives, and was wondering if there has ever been any talk of a lockback ZT model?

HD liner locks and ti frame locks seem to work great and are very Strong. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

The backlock on Spyies loosens some and horizonal play isn't uncommon. Ya I know ZT makes a much more HD knife than Spyderco. Just a comment on the backlock.

I am not a huge fan of the backlock just based on the face that it is not convenient to open and close. also, clockman highlighted my main argument. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I understand the arguments against lockbacks in general, but I like the diversity in the ZT lineup. If the 200 linerlock was not "broken", why did they go to framelocks? Maybe not everyone would prefer them, but they are a tried and true locking system, around long before frame or linerlocks, and I have no doubt that if a ZT model lockback was designed, it would be as solid as any of their other models.

They didn't "go to" framelocks. The 0200 was meant to be many people's first Zero Tolerance folder since it was more affordable than the venerable 0300. Some, also prefer the all 3-Dimensionally G-10 scales because it feels more like a fixed blade in the hand that way. The 0200's liner-lock is as thick as many frame-locks anyway. :)

I seemed to have worded my last post wrong with my "go-to" comment, I was trying to point out that ZT doesn't seem to need a reason to come out with new designs. They have introduced more than just frame and liner locks. They had the 0500 with a hawk lock, the 650 is an automatic with a push button lock mechanism, the new 0700 has a sub-frame lock. Seems a natural progression that they would eventually offer every lock design at some point or another. The kershaw black horse II back lock is probably one of the company's longest running models.

Unless it's a tri-ad style lock back (which I doubt) I wouldn't be interested honestly. The only lock back I'd even consider buying right now is an original Manix.

I'd like to see a ZT lockback with the Galyean touch. Perhaps, something like this

Heck, I wouldn't mind having a lockback ZT. I've got a lot of good lockback knives, I'm sure ZT would make a good one.
