Has anyone ever thought about ZT making a multitool?
i would love to have a multitool that has a half decent blade that i can actually get sharp and hold a edge for a decent amount of time.

ideas? comments? opinions?

Would love to see it happen, but it probably won't. Kershaw stopped their regular multitool because it was too expensive to make (I think too many parts to put together, made assembly too costly). While a ZT one would be awesome, I just don't see it.

I like ZT, I like Kershaw and other great brands out there. However, it'd take quite a bit to steer me from Leatherman. If a company has perfected a specialized niche in the world of knives/tools, Leatherman has definitely taken the multi-tool market.

Also, the knives using 420HC on the Leatherman multi-tools have been pretty good in my opinion. There are also 154CM and S30V options out there.

nah...leatherman's got this one done for any occasion...a zt multi tool would not interest me.

on the otherhand, i use the kershaw select fire all the time, and it's the serrated version too (YIKES!)..NO DOUBT too pedestrian for most of the people here to use (much less admit they own one LOLOLOL

I think, if anything, ZT's best option would be a ZT equivilent of the 1920 select fire. First and Foremost a knife, with several additions to make it more useful, rather than a full out multi-tool.

what multi tool options are out there with 154cm and s30v blades?

No plans for a ZT multitool as of right now. Sorry to burst any bubbles.

Thanks for the info, i didnt really expect there to be i was just throwing around the ideas. I was just using my current multi tool and wishing it was a little higher quality and that led me to thinking about ZT. lol

Thank you for the helpful info and again welcome to the forum and thanks for being willing to put up with all of us

Check out the Leatherman Charge. I have an older version in 154CM. Think they're S30V now, but could be wrong.

Mine Charge has a S30v blade. The grind was horrendously wavy, but it was sharp and does a good job at handling stuff like stripping wire, and cutting cardboard.

Back to ZT, I would like to see a ZT Select Fire equivalent, with pry tool, flat and Phillips screwdrivers.

i've never heard of a blade and prybar combo; now that would be a zt or kershaw or anybody else multi tool i would buy...

Leatherman Charge TTi comes with Ti handles and S30V blade.
Leatherman Skeletool has a 154CM option
There might be other Leatherman models with better than average steel options for the blade.

I primarily use a Leatherman Wave. If you EDC a knife, a Leatherman Wave pretty much does it for multi-tool option.
