ZT Rattle?

Ok, So this is my first post so bear with me.
I recently bought a ZT 0566BW and so far I really like the knife a lot. Tonight while at work I opened the knife and right before I put it away I noticed a slight "rattling" sound while the blade is open. It sounds like the rattling is coming from the top of the knife maybe near where the pivot is? (please excuse if that's not the correct terminology). The sound goes away completely when I close the blade. Anyone know what this could be or ever hear of this before?

Thanks! Any help is appreciated

I'ts the torsion bar, when the blade is closed the torsion bar is engaged, but when the blade is open the bar is slack and when there isn't enough grease in the cavity it can rattle. I had a 0566 and had the same rattle every once in a while.

A little grease in the gap between the scale and the frame where the torsion bar rests should fix that right up.

Awesome, Thanks!
I'll give it a shot when I get off work in the morning.

This might be opening a whole new can of worms but is there type of grease you recommend?

as said above its the torsion bar rattling around. As said above Vaseline. I use vaseline on my speed safe torsion bars to not only lube them but to hold the bar in place while I put the knife back together. Works very well

Unless something's not working as it should or a component is actually loose a little bit of rattle shouldn't be anything to be concerned about. Knives with floating stop pins for example will have a faint rattle if shaken in the closed position. That includes everything between $100 production knives up to $6000 customs.

asdf12345 everything appears to be in good working order other than the rattling.
I was just nervous since it was brand new and started doing this on the 2nd day.
After reading that other post I am considering taking it out and seeing how I like it as just a flipper with no assist.... Curious

I did that to my 0566, it makes it even better in my opinion.

Ok so today I de-assisted my 0566 and I have to agree that it feel so much smoother and easier to operate like this. Thanks for the suggestion!
