I sent my knife out for a repair a couple weeks ago, and received confirmation that the knife was being worked on.

Does Kershaw (ZT) send out email or call you when the knife is shipped out to you. Mostly so I know when to expect it since UPS requires signature on any and all packages.

Thanks.

Every box I got back from ZT from UPS was just left on my porch..and never got told when it was coming..

Not sure about Kershaw sending out tracking numbers. I can vouch for UPS and signatures. The only time a signature is required is when the value is over $500, it's a firearm, and or if you're area which you live in is considered a high theft area.

I sent in a knife for warranty repair last September, and I didn't get a notice when it was shipped back out. I don't know if processes have changed at Kershaw/ZT regarding notifications when shipping back out since then. Overall turnaround was about 2 weeks, including shipping both ways, which is pretty quick, I think.

UPS just left it on my front porch (no signature), but that's pretty typical for UPS in my neighborhood. I don't recall ever having signed for a UPS package, and I've ordered things well in excess of $500 before.

UPS considers my area a "high theft area" thus they will require signature.

Alright guess I will just have to wait for the UPS sticker then pick up the package.

Thanks guys.

They will not contact you, but if you call them and ask about the status of the knife they can tell you if it is has been shipped what they did to it and give you a tracking number.

They didn't even tell me that they were working on the Blur, nor did they say they shipped it back.

I am surprised that you received an email that it is being worked on. I have never received any emails.

never got confirmation that they received it or when it was finished, just shipped me a brand new one in a couple weeks. Very good customer service.
