I recently received Guns&Weapons for law enforcement (and mall ninjas :D) April 2006 and there is an ad for Zero Tolerance knives. I have read about them in the Strider and Onion forums but can't seem to find any other info on them. Anybody know about these knives?

I know about these knives very well. The ZT knives will be debuting at this year's S.H.O.T. Show in mid Feb.

Truthfully I would rather not let out all the details on the product line out at this time as spec's are currently being finalized.

These are just a few of the ZT highlights:

*From head to toe, they will be Made in America.
*There are some sick Ken Onion designs
*There are some nasty Strider designs
*SpeedSafe is involved
*3V steel is lending a hand
*Titanium also came knocking
*Proceeds from ZT sales will go toward the PVA (Paralyzed Veterans Association)
*There will be Fixed blades and folders

Sorry for the true lack of details, but it all will be public soon.

The ad that Robert and others have seen is a small sampling of the ZT product line. The ZT line will include 6-8 models, with variations on each.

Pricing will be in the $150-$300 range.

so that is a Kershaw project? Wow, can't wait. between the spec-bump, the offset and this you are going to put me into a poor house

Interesting. Busse Combat has a now-discontinued line of thinner editions of it's E-handled Steel Hearts, Battle Mistresses, and Natural Outlaws called the Zero Tolerance series. Terminology is about to get more complicated.

Sounds like there might be a copyright/brand name infringement problem there, I guess we will find out!

Wow! These new projects are GREAT! ZT 0300 is very similar to Skirmish, same materials, lock and steel used. But it has an assisted opening and has more "agressive" profile. Anybody knows, what is the blade thickness? And, as I have understood, it`s a Kershaw project, so it will be available in most online-stores, where Kershaw products are present? Or one would be able to buy them only from special ZT store?
P.S.: Sorry for spelling :)

madcap...

Are you still planning on creating 6-8 models? If so, any idea when the additional 2-4 models will be released. I'm assuming that you will let the first 4 models draw some interest. I know that when the 0300's finally get out that the reputation and interest will spread by word of mouth and the demand will go through the Roof!!! I currently have placed orders for the 0200and 0301 at TAD. Plan on Getting the 0400 as well. Love the folders!!!!

The design of ZT fixed blades looks excellent. I don't know why the blood groove is there, it only weakens the blade. It's CPM-3V but still. I do like the ergonomics on Kershaws and ZT look very similar. I want one.

ZT0400 looks wicked! Finally a production Mick Strider Nightmare tanto grind with a Speedsafe system for 150 bucks. Put me down for one...

I finally spotted one of the ZT 0400s on Ebay!

I have been trying so hard to find one of these locally to hold and play with! I am not suggesting anyone pay $180 for a knife that MSRPs for $150, but if you have to have it, here you go. I can wait.

Anyway, we have the Kershaw G-10 Offset, and the ZDP Cyclone to look forward to! Not to mention the JYD and the Groove to occupy our time :)

Thomas was just talking about that today, I think. The G10 offset is a go, as well as a noncoated blade aluminum splash offset.

Thomas, if you get spare time, could you post all the photos of existing ZT knives you've got? I think I'm going to buy a knife tomorrow, and the ZT0400 and 0200 are real contenders.
