Has anyone had any experience with this knife? I am looking for a good fixed blade and this one really caught my eye (would compliment my Spec Bump very nicely). As always, photos are more than welcome.:)

Thanks.

Sorry dude, I dont have any experience with one, I just saw that no one replied to you and seeings how I have a hankering for one of these too, I thought Id drop ya a note. We just got back from vacation in tennessee and we stopped at Smokey Mountain Knives, they had a 0100 in the case, let me tell you, it took all I had to not whip out the Visa. They wanted $258 for it and with Tenn's 7% sales tax, I tought it a bit on the salty side. It was smaller than I thought, I guess I imagined a huge "Rambo" bowie knife, I liked the size, seems more managable. Not a small knife either. Anyway, dont mean to waste your time, hope someone replies with their experiences.

Wow, only 7%? They cut you a break :D It is normally 9.25% !!! People here think we are getting off light with no state income tax, but man, they really stick it to us with that sales tax!

I have always thought SMKW was a bit on the high side price wise, but man, there's no denying going there is like stepping into a fantasy world, huh? :D

Sorry CQC, I have nothing to add either.

I bought a used on several years ago & initially liked it so much I had a Chuddy Bear sheath built for it.

I don't subject it to chopping bricks or rebar & I've never bounced up & down on it while locked in a vise but for trail clearing here in SW Colorado & a steady diet of hitting knots it works great.

The recurve takes a super sharp edge on a Sharpmaker & a wipedown after using means I've never seen rust or pitting. The DLC will wear a bit but it adds character.

I really think this is an under rated rough duty knife or at least one that hasn't received very much attention here.

By the way, there is probably a reason you don't see many of them show up for sale.

Regards, Ruff Cobb
