How do these big folders carry in the pocket for EDC? I have a BM Rukus(610), and it carrys very well for such a large knife (4.25" blade). I don't have anywhere to test-drive one, and would like some feed back before I ask Santa for one.

Thanks
Kevin

ZT0300 here. It is a big folder - granted. That said, I find it carries better than the 630 or Manix that I used to own. It is a pocketful but more manageable for me than the ones mentioned above.

For sake of reference, I find pocket carry (with a pocket holster) of the KelTec P3AT to be comfortable and the S&W 642 a bit big.

If you find the 610 comfortable, I can't imagine you would find the ZT0300 too big. I believe the 0200 is even smaller - no?

(Carrying the Lahar today! Can I tell you how much I LOVE that folder!?)

I own the ZT-302 and carry it as my EDC all day everyday. I'm a big fella and it is a BIG folder, it is heavy, but very stout. It is not so heavy that you couldn't carry it comfortably in shorts as I do. The knife is a quality colaboration and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks, Jason

I own both and though the 0300 is quite large I've had no problems with carrying one as an EDC. I'm not a very tall guy (below 6') but it still is carried rather comfortably. The 0200 is equally easy to carry.

With jeans, my ZT 302 is fine. With lighter weight slacks, it is a bit much. It tends to pull the pocket down. I carry it as much as I can, what a great folder. It will also fit in my Gerber multi tool sheath as a belt carry option. Get one and enjoy it!

I have the 0301 and EDC it, it is heavy, but it sits well and the short clip makes people think it is a much smaller knife. My Leek's clip is much longer.

this is an excellent comparison point. It drives me nuts, but I'll just leave it at that. The ZT0300s are pretty good to carry considering their size.

You really can't have too big a clip. Example:

No stranger to the ZT 0200,.....as you all know! :D

......and i EDC 3 of them, every day,.......and 1 at night in my shorts. I used to keep an assisted opening Spec Bump as my sleep carry with the safty off,......but feel safer with the manual ZT 0200. Hate to pull a self directed Loraina Bobbit!

They carry very well, IMO,.....and my 1st go to one is right side inside pant lip under belt, with a shirt flap pulled up a biy to cover it. A backup left side ZT 0200ST is in a belt pouch on belt to the back,....and the 3rd is left front pocket,......well, actually that's my snub-nosed "Baby" ZT 0200. ;)

So if i can go all day with 2 3/4 ZT 0200's,.........a single one should be a breeze for most folks......

is there such a thing as a zt 0200 without the coating on the blade.....just curious.....ryan

ohh man.....hey joe...want another project?????.....only kidding....i am so tempted to buy a zt knife after all these threads about them.....i'm gonna decide soon....it would be my most expensive folder purchase to date....i am more of a fixed blade kinda guy up till now......ryan

I rotate around with several knives, two of which are the BM Rukus 610 and the ZT0200. The Rukus rides a little flatter in the pocket, but the 0200 is not a hinderance to carry at all. In fact, due to the clip positioning on the ZT, it seems to slant a little in the pocket and helps upon drawing the knife by putting it in your hand at a better angle and a little faster than if you have to pull straight up and out and then reposition your hand....only a split second of time here, but I've heard that a split second can be the difference.............

I loosned up the clip a bit on my front pant lip carry ZT 0200,.....and that really speeded up the draw of the knife!

I figure i'm saving the fabric also...........

Being a short clip,.....it feels a bit stiffer than the ones on the Spec Bump and other like size clips,.......so the loosening really helps.

Hehehe,.....i wonder if Kershaw/Kai has seen a rise in orders for the ZT 0200 of late?

It sure wouldn't surprise me! :D

Thanks for all of the replies. Looks like a ZT0200 is going on my wish-list...
