I did a quick post over on USN, then remembered you had a full forum here on BFC. I picked up a ZT0200 the beginning of this week and wanted to say thanks for a great folder. This is the first knife (production or custom) I've picked up in a while, definitely a good choice. I know I'm a bit late having only tried the ZT line this year, but it needed to be said...You hit the bulls-eye with this one.

I'm gonna have to pick up another next time I place a dealer order to stash in my closet...just in case I happen to lose this one. Too many times I've found a folder I love then it gets discontinued shortly thereafter, LOL :)

Thanks!

Get the ZT0300 next and mix it up :)

I love my 0200 as well. The entire ZT line rocks...I plan on eventually owning them all. Likely sooner than later.

I like the dimensions and blade profile of the ZT0300, but not into the assisted-open. I've tried it in the past, but have always preferred a full manual folder. Would be nice if may be one day we saw a full manual ZT0300 :)

It has a detent, so all you have to do is remove the torsion bar which takes ~5 min.

Augh I didn't know they made the ZT0300 with a plain blade and that it was easy to convert to a manual. Now it's even harder for me to decide between the Tyrade, Offset and ZT0300.

That is NOT what I nor my bank account needed to hear :) Hmmm, the TAD edition in carbon fiber may be too much to resist if I can make it a full manual.

EDIT:
Sorry, I just opened mine up, got detent mixed up with detent ball, sorry! :o :(
You can easily create one though with 30 sec. with a dremel, I've done it before, and it's pretty easy to do.

Oh thank god. That was getting me worried. Just bought a new Macbook Pro. Can't afford to add three 200+ dollar knives all at once.

Making a detent is really not rocket science though, it's really easy to do, so you still have to get one ;)

I'm sure I'll breakdown in the near future and pick one up :) I'm not handy with a dremel so I may have to find someone to send her to for the detent, lol

i love that 0200....i have been debating whether or not putting my mudd up for trade and trying to get one....it's a hard choice cause i love the mudd but it's like carrying a billy club in my pocket....anybody have both...is the 0200 a little smaller?....ryan

I have both of them, and they are similar in size, though the ZT0200 weighs 7.7 ounces to the ZT0500 at 6.6 ounces.

With the sculpted G10 and it's weight, it is a very solid knife in hand. Kershaw/Ken Onion sure got the grip design correct as this is one of the best feeling knives I've held.

maybe i'll still try and get a hold one one...i might like the grip better....the mudd is a little boxy fo rme....ryan

The 0200 has a very nicely contoured grip.
The only knives that are are on par with it's handle shape are the ZT 0300, Spec Bump, R.A.M. and Blur.

The ZT 0610ST's grip however is an absolute winner for me--beats everything I've held, by a good measure.
