Which would you buy and why. Would you go for the better steel with very grippy plastic handle yet slightly cheaper with axis lock rittergrip or the good steel but more quality feel handle with 3-d machined g10 on the zt0200?

The steel on the ritter is not exactly better. I, and many people prefer 154cm as much as s30v. So it really boils down to which lock you prefer and what your gonna use it for. Both are of equal quality. But the ZT definatly has more features. I prefer the grip just becuase of the axis lock being an extremely stronge lock. But the Zt linerlock doesnt fall that much short. Depends on what you want to use it for, different specs. The ZT is large and heavy, The grip is a bit smaller, more sheeple friendly and definatly lighter. If you have a chance handle them first, do it. Huge difference in each knife.
As far as which one i would buy, i would go for the ZT-0200, Only becuase i prefer the standard Griptilian 551 over the ritter grip, as i prefer the 154cm. The ZT- has the edge on heavy duty feel, but i still prefer the axis lock. However the Grip 551 is just as much of a knife for half the price or the ritter, And the blade shape is much more utilitarian. Perfect EDC. ZT=Scary EDC

ZT 0200. big solid knife that is designed for abuse (well normal abuse. still isnt a prybar or anything like that).

trimcut is right. the grip is smaller and has a great lock in the axis lock. the liner lock on the ZT however is very thick. for it to fail, it would take alot. the g-10 is great in feel too. i have never handled the ritter, but i have handled the standard grip. i personally prefer the ZT. in a large to mid size knife, i prefer some heft to it, but thats my preference.

the steel isnt to different for either knife. both are fairly easy to sharpen i think, so long as you do it right. may be a bit more of a chore with the ZT considering that it has a recurve. if you have the sharpmaker, then it shouldnt be much of a problem.

you wont go wrong with either knife, but i would go with the ZT

Regular grip preferred of Ritter Grip? I had a feeling there were others who believed this as well. Ritter = nice but not $50 - $60 dollars nicer than standard.
