A while back, about a month or so, I decided to modify one of my ZT0200's, picking the Knifeworks version as my guinea pig. I sanded the grips down to a smooth finish and ended up with the wood grain finish of polished G-10, which I think looks really good. I then polished all the screws along with the pivot bolt, and at the same time semi polished the edges of the liners, a sorta satin finish. Of course I couldn't stop there, so next came the blade. I ended up grinding the tip to a 45 degree angle and came up with a wharncliffe, recurved blade. Now I took precautions to not ruin the blade with excessive heat and plan to send it to Tom Krein for a blade edge job. Overall I am really pleased with the results. Another thing I am pleased about is the fact I now "have" to get another ZT0205! In fact it arrives tomorrow along with a new left pocket carry, the Spyderco Persistence, which will be my small carry, and since I gave my cuz the Leatherman Serac2 flashlight, I had to put another one in the order. Oh the things a knifenut will do!!!
