I am 99% sure this is the CF one. It does shimmer under the light. Please give hard evidence before commenting.
I apologize for posting directly in your thread - I acknowledge that i should have sent you a PM concerning this matter. I am only trying to help avoid any confusion, and I am in no way commenting on the value of your knife or anthing else. As I stated before, the knife you have for sale is a fine knife, and would be a great addition to anyone's collection. It's just not the Carbon Fiber model.
The slight shimmer you are seeing is the fiberglass in the G-10. I own two of the Carbon Fiber ZT0300's and ond of the Black G-10 handled ZT0300's, so I feel that I am plenty capable of explaining the difference. I am in no way accusing you of anything, it's an easy mistake to make.
I was trying to avoid cluttering up your thread, but I will post some photos to illustrate for you. Here is the hard evidence you asked for.
If you would like me to remove this post, just ask me and I would be happy to remove it.
The following photo is of my personal Carbon Fiber ZT0300. It has a longer swedge (the grind at the back of the blade) that TAD Gear referred to as the "Battle Swedge" and all the carbon fiber models had it.
Here is a photo of the Carbon Fiber TAD ZT0300 straight from the TAD Gear website. In this photo, you can see the different swedge and the more grayish color of the Carbon Fiber handle.
Finally, here is a photo, directly from the TAD Gear website, of the knife that you currently have for sale. It was one of the first ZT0300 versions that TAD Gear commisioned, back when the ZT0300 was only offered with Tiger Striped blades, and green or Tan G-10. More recently, Zero Tolerance started offering the black on black option as a standard production model, since it looked so good.
Her is the picture - as you can see, the blade has the standard ZT0300 swedge, and the G-10 is a true black, not the shimmering gray of the Carbon Fiber model.
