Hey guys,

My ZT0350CB's blade just started to rub againts one side (opp to the liner lock) and I was wondering if it is problem that I could easily fix. I took it apart to clean and re-lubed. The torsion bar is perfectly okay. Visually I cant see if there was significant wear on the pin or the copper bush. Just wondering if I could get some help from you guys.

By the way, the knife when it was new had a little play and was not centered when closed. I dont mind as long as it wasnt rubbing the sides. Dont have the latest pic but mine is SN:0193.

Try this, from the greener forum.

A problem among folding knives that seem to plague every brand is the infamous off center blade. Sometimes the blade is slightly off center, other times, it is completely rubbing the liner. Here is my method of correcting this issue.

What you'll need to center your blade are your bit drivers, a folded piece of paper, and of course, the knife you want to fix.

First, tighten the pivot screw as much as you can.

Next, loosen the body screws. They don't need to be removed. Do this for both sides.

Next, push the blade to the OPPOSITE liner that it is offcenter to.

While pushing the blade to the other side, wedge your piece of paper to keep the blade against the opposite liner.

Now, tighten up your body screws. Remember not to over tighten your screws!

You can now remove the piece of paper you had wedged next to your blade. Check the blade centering.

If the blade is still offcenter, repeat steps 2 through 5. If the blade is where you want it, adjust your pivot screw to where you like.

bookmarked. Those pics makes me want to take my 350cb out of the safe and play. Must resist!

Here's something I had posted in the Kershawholics group. It basically illustrates what is happening when you follow the instructions that knivesandguns posted. -

Blades can be centered by loosening the handles and shifting them slightly in relation to each other on the long axis. This in turn changes the angle of the pivot's axis. A tiny movement of the handles can move the tip of the blade quite a bit.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the help. I managed to center the blade just following instructions shared by Knivesandguns and Kneesdeep. It's working perfectly.

Cheers!

I tightened the pivot screw and loosened the G10 screws. Then I start loosening the pivot screw till the blade start to center. It took a couple of times to get it right but it works. I didnt manage to move the handles at all. The G10 handles seems to be rock solid in place.

Yes, this thread should be invaluable resource for others in the future.

Cheers!
