I have a ZT0500 set to arrive this coming Saturday. As most would know I recieved my first 0500 back in Feb., and left no doubt about how pleased I was with it. As most probably do not know I have come through a divorce in the past year and even though the divorce is final, my ex has decided to take me to court again over a cc bill for a card in her name alone. Anyway the lawyer has drained me of my "play money" and I have even been forced to sale a few of my already accumulated knives to pay him in full. The 0500 was one that went because my cousin decided he could not live without it. This additional court trip also forced me to forgo a couple of knives I had already decided upon. Now, with all that said, it is all behind me and I will be back on my feet, with more play money, in a couple of months! But I still got to feed the monkey, so I was able to do some creative budget reforms to release the needed funds to pick up a ZT0500, a Boker Wharcom, and a T10 Olight, and still meet my obligations for the month, and I will not be forced to do the Ramen thing for the entire month of June! Monkey is satisfied, as I am, and I get to have what is probably my favorite ZT. Anywho, just wanted to express my good fortune at being able to get over on my problems, and turn a cloudy day into a sunny one!!

good job dude! gotta keep the "monkey" happy or poo might start flying!! haha

but honestly, hope everything goes OK with the divorce! don't let her take your knives!

Great news Cutter, great news!!
Glad things have turned around for ya. :thumbup:

That sucks. Remember what they say, though:

Q: Why do divorces cost so much?

A: Because they're WORTH it!

:eek::p

:D Came in a couple hours ago, serial # 747, and far as I am concerned it is as strong, as fast, and as solid as it's namesake........the 747 jet liner, not mud!:eek::D:thumbup: Everything about it is as the last one I had, but was forced to sale. Fit/finish, action, lockup are all as near to perfect as you can get. Still don't know why the weight is advertised as 4.9 ounces as I put it on a digital scale a little while ago that my cousin has and it came out to 6.72 ounces....nearly two ounces heavier than advertised. I definately am not complaining as I love the extra heft the knife has, just a more solid feel. In fact I held off so long in buying one, got my first at the end of February, because I thought it would be too light!:eek: Glad I took the plunge as this has become my favorite ZT folder, even beating out the venerable ZT0200.

I'm glad it arrived safe and sound! :)

I too love the heft of mine. I will be headed to Yellowstone for my birthday after school gets out. I will be sure to post an extensive review of the knife then....:D

be sure to post some action pics if you can! :thumbup:

Dude, how so?

I prefer the 0200 blade shape over the 0500 and I really like the G10 sculpting on the handle.

Why do you like the 0500 over the 0200?

Hey tops. Believe me, it is not by much! I just like the the lock action a little better due to it's uniqueness, and I actually like the ZT0500 blade, with the clip point a little better. You know there is no accounting for tastes!!:D;):D

i'm all giddy since i got a MUDD in the mail yesterday!! i perfer the MUDD's blade shape to the 0200 though.:)

Tell you what guy's, even though I was without the Mudd for only 6 weeks, it felt more like a year or two! I have really enjoyed carrying and using the mudd since yesterday. It really amazes me, and really makes me glad that I am a fan of Kershaws, as the consistency of this Mudd to the one I had is pretty much identical. The several ZT0200's I had, and still have one, was also consistent in the build and operation of each one. It's not just the really expensive, and limited models, e.g. Tyrade, that Kershaw does well, but it is also the rest of the knives they build that come out of the factory so consistent!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Hope this makes a little sense.:eek::D
