So, not exactly news to those on this forum, but I wanted to add my 2c.

I got my 561 from KershawGuy today. It is great. It is a perfect companion to the 200. I find the handle and grip just fine compared to the 200. I have to keep my finger off the lock bar, or it makes flipping a little harder as I am pushing on the blade, but that is just me and it is new. A great knife.

Thanks!

I received my ZT (0560) from kershawguy today (thanks for the great black Friday deal!) as well and I am quite impressed. It is my first ZT knife and it is exactly as great as so many people have been saying it is. I can't believe how light it is for a not-so-small blade. KAI did a terrific job with this knife. Here are some pics from today...

Got my 0561 from Kershawguy yesterday, and I think that it's awesome as well! Gotta love my wife, almost all of my Christmas presents are knives (she said "just order what you want, and for sure you will be happy with what you get"), and this one is part of my birthday present (January 2nd). When I opened it to check it out, she said "very nice, it looks different than the rest of them", and when I handed it to her, she couldn't believe how light it is for the size. Anyway, love it! Can hardly wait for my birthday now!

Love my 561 too, for a bigger knife it carries really well:thumbup:, I can't say anything negative about it, thats how good it is! And KVT man I have never felt a smoother blade. My dad really liked it so I'm thinking of getting him one for Christmas

I too, love my recently aquired 560. It beats out the 350 every day for my EDC. I don't really get the "it's too big for EDC" thing. It weighs nothing and completely disappears in my back pocket. I like to subscribe to the "it's better to have a capable knife and not need it..."

Good photos -- they do justice to the folder.

I have an early serial number of the 561 and a recent version of the 560. Both are smooth openers. The difference is that the earlier one needed breaking in before it would close easily. Now both open AND close smoothly.

F&f is top notch, except that the lockbar jimping could be smoother on both and I have to be careful where I place my thumb. (Probably good advice for life in general.)

I have an early 0560 and it was great out of the box. I have several knives, some more expensive, but the 0560 keeps finding its way into my pocket more than any other. It is a great purchase.

NinjaRyder0920 ,
Those are some great pics. The texture to the handle is definitely unique. I like it. Is it G10 on the front and titanium on the back ?

Yup! Both sides are milled/texturized. The G10 has nice grip and will not shred your pocket and the milling on the titanium is just plain sweet.

I've had my 0560 for about a month and still have trouble disengaging the frame look some times. Anyone know a fix without sending it back to ZT?

You can apply some graphite on the blade tang where it engages with the lock face to help make it less sticky. My 0560 doesn't have this problem, but my Spyderco Chokwe did and it worked for me. I have also read about people using sharpie instead of graphite.

Not sure what is a low or high serial 561, but mine has no problems disengaging the lock. Graphite will work well as a lubricant for this purpose.

I've also found on some ti framelocks that any lube on the blade tang where it mates to the lockface can make things worse mine serial # is 2000 something but its buttery smooth. I have a question that I haven't really got an answer to yet are the 560,561's carbidized?

I had disengaging issues with my early serial number 561 and did two things: Left the blade open for a week or more. And worked it by opening and closing it.

Now I can't tell any difference between it and my more recent 560, which disengaged smoothly out of the box.

Agreed - got mine last Friday. It's very impressive and incredibly easy carry for a larger folder. Fantastic in every way. Mail carrier dropped it off just as I was heading out of town and I had just enough time to rip it open and throw it in my pocket for the trip. My wife liked it, it got used to trim some old paint and caulk at the in-laws and any other chore I could think of. Love the steel, love the action, love the weight, shape and size. It takes a little effort to disengage the lock, but can be done with one hand reliably. Slams open as smooth as silk. Incredible!
