Hello

I haven't found any thread comparing those two knives
Can someone provides me pictures of both side by side to give an idea of how they compare?

Here you go...

Have an original 801 (actually wearing it today), and have a 562CF on order. But I gotta say the all black 801 looks absolutely amazing. I just may end up with a pair of them.

This is the only side by side I have at the moment..( 2 in the middle)

They both flip like butter, and have excellent blades, Elmax and M390 are both great IMO. Plus the G10/562 comes in Elmax for a little less.
I prefer the 562 only slightly over 801 but that's just personal preference. Both are great choices..

Thanks you very much for the pictures!
I have then placed an order for the 0562CF.

I have already the 0801BLK and it is an excellent folder.
I really like the fit and finish of this folder! It is a good slicer and the ELMAX is good for me, very good steel IMHO
I have very impatient to compare both by myself ;)

I defiantly prefer the 0562cf. Strong enough for any task you would use a folder for.
It also looks and feels great.

Open this link and go to post #502. A good dude who goes by the name of TBL posted his.

I have been EDC'ing them side by side since November 17th. I have put them through similar cutting tasks in order to see which one preforms better. In every test that I have given them from cardboard to apple slices they have been extreamly similar. The 0562 is _slightly_ (and I mean very miniscule) better in certain tasks. The higher grind and slightly thinner edge on the 'slicer' grind make a difference through thick materials (cheese, apples, rope, cord, 1inch thick cardboard ect). Truthfully through EDC tasks of cardboard, opening letters, removing shrinkwrap, and other miscellaneous tasks there will not be a noticeable difference (as far as cutting goes). My suggestion would to feel them both in the hand. I found I prefer the 0562 for a main hand because of the way it feels with the finger grooves, I get a better grip on it for heavier tasks. I prefer 0801 in my offhand because of the balance in different grips.

You cant go wrong with ether / or!

You're welcome, brother! You're the first dude I thought of haha.

I appreciate your opinions. Good to hear from someone who's using both.

There was a thread posted up for EDC knives for food prep. I started to compare what I normally carry in my pockets for different tasks, as well as some tests suggested by a few knife makers (the results were posed in the Becker sub forum). Gave me a real insite to some geometry used on different blades that I carry and the best uses for them. As far as edc tasks go both the 0562 and 0801 pass with flying colors. The elmax touches up really nicely too. Its only a pain if you let it dull completely (like most new powdered steels).
