I'm certainly not going to, but anyone using theirs on a regular basis? I am carrying mine everyday, but it rides in my right front pocket, as do all my prized edc's, all by itself. I have only used it to cut some paper and the clear plastic covering off of a few dvd's. I did cut the upc code from a flat of walmart bottled water as I set in the checkout line on one of their motorized carts to give to the clerk. Shoulda seen the eye's on the folks in front of me when I slipped it out of my pocket, opened it,, cut the upc code, closed it, and slipped it back in my pocket, all in a matter of seconds. Then I looked up and smiled really big at the wide eyed folks in front of me. They never said a word(as the frown said it all)and neither did I. At my age, and confined to a wheelchair, I don't feel I owe anyone an explanation on what I use to cut with!! But this is a conversation for another time. What I want to know is if any member here is using their ZT0600 on a regular basis,or if they are maybe doing what I do and carrying it but taking extra good care of it, or just putting it up in the safe. I do have a second one on order and hope to get it when the next batch is released, and if I do get a second one, it will be put up and stay unused.

I use my 0600 for some cutting chores at home, but it's a little heavy for me to EDC on a regular basis. I usually like to carry something a little lighter like my 0777 to work and when im out, and I definatly don't baby mine. It's got some rust on the damascus, that i'd like to figure out how to remove, but thats a different story... The 0600 is a tank and is definatly an awesome EDC, if you don't mind the weight and the huge size of it.

Get some Flitz and try using that.

I carry my 0600 regularly, but I haven't had the opportunity to do any heavy duty tasks yet. But if that opportunity ever arises I will most surely use it.

Mine has been my most carried knife since I got it. I don't hesitate to use it, but I don't really have the need to chop branches or pry car doors open in my day-to-day life, so it still looks pristine. Great knife.

I carry mine a bit, on the first day out I managed to mangle the pocket clip on something :(

I carry mine at work. I cut open boxes, cut hoses & trim plastic pieces at times to. The only concern I have is catching the pocket clip on a car & damaging both. But I use mine when I carry it. It helps that I have another one.

OR some light scrub with bar keepers friend. great light abrasive, just dont go nuts or you will lighten the etch.

I DO carry my 600 daily, and cut everything i can find with it. Keep it at 23 degrees per side with my wicked edge. It cuts aluminum, rubber, plastic etc with ease and is a fantastic hard use knife. I bought it to carry and use til its dead

My 0600 hasn't left my pocket since I got it.

As a previous poster said, it helps that i got two of them, but my EDC has been used to cut wood, wire, paper, tape, cardboard, etc

It sharpens up nicely with just a little stropping and holds a great edge forever. I absolutely love this B75P steel.

I've always been a fan of big folders and this monster is just perfect. It looks damn good. Its slightly intimidating if you are seeking that as a desired effect. The flipping action is amazingly quick and smooth. The lockup is perfect. The blade steel is awesome. There really aren't too many more superlatives that I could pile on it.

Probably one of my all time favorite knives.

I have been just fondling mine. I have enough knives that I dont need to edc the one that I have. I have a second on order and the plan is when that one gets here Im going to take the lesser of the two and edc it and hoard the other. But I dont want to use the one I have if that falls through. I guess it really doesnt matter as the one I have came scratched anyhow so its not like Im going to hurt the value. Still I dont want to go beating on it unless I have a pristine example in the safe. Im just weird like that.

DONT use flitz on your 0777. Flitz is mostly a chemical polish but it does in my experience have some abrasive properties even though they claim it doesnt. I used it on a bead blasted knife where it had some rust and it polished the blade to a mirror finish. If it wasnt abrasive and chems only it shouldnt have done that. It will likely kill the etch on your damascus which would require another touch of acid to bring back. Where is the rust on your blade? If you see it in the jimping its likely not rust at all but left over copper material that a few of them left the factory with. Its from the composite process of welding the two steels together. Unfortunately if its rust or the copper residue there isnt a whole lot that can be used besides abrasives and/or a very small file. That again will require some re etching of the damascus.

This is exactly my situation, so many of my knives are still in perfect condition even though they have been carried.

Janv, how did you mangle the clip and did you contact Kershaw about a replacement?

I do hope the second one does happen as I really like this knife. The heavy duty part is something I like to see in my edc's, and along with heavy duty you usually get the heavy weight which does not bother me at all providedthe knife in question is a well built, top quality, knife. My two main edc's are the 0600 and a Lionsteel SR1 with raindrop damascus, both of which weigh in right at the 7 ounce mark.

So keep those 0600 stories coming!

You may be able to get the clip replaced but you will probably need to send it in due to the LE thing. Apparently they get a lot of requests for parts on their LE knives and most arent legitimate. To prevent abuse of their warranty the LE knives they request to be sent in if their is any issue. Given how much a 0600 clip probably costs compared to a bent piece of steel I dont really blame them.
