ZT0801 clip replacement

I bought ZT 0801 and generally I very like the knife but there is one small issue with it - the pocket clip. It is very hard to put the knife in a pocket (there is too little space between folded over deep carry clip and the screws) and it is also hard to take it out of a pocket (not enough knife to take a firm grip).
So, the questions for owners of ZT 0801: do you also have such problems? Where can I find a simple no-deep-carry clip for this knife?
 
There are replacement options on eBay. I have also seen somebody use a clip off the Kershaw "One Ton" knife on their 0801. I use a small piece of paracord in a simple loop on mine to make it easier to pull out with one finger. :)
 
With Kershaws deep carry clips I've always basically grabbed the knife in a pinch grip with my thumb down inside my pocket and my index finger grabbing the part of the pocket clip that's bent and just pulled it out.
 
That custom clips are pretty expensive, but One Ton clip could be an option.

Take the clip off and bend it carefully with some pliers. Easy fix.
 
Nice. The stock clip is bugging the hell out of me too. Not the function but the color. Looks cheesy to me with the black clip and white insignia. I've found clips online for cheap, but the holes are spaced about .06" narrower CxC. Not sure if a reaming would look clean.

I've have the same issue with my 801bw, my only gripe. If the heads on the screws were flat it would work perfectly I think. Love the knife.
 
Yea same here on the clip. I like most everything about the knife but the clip seems like it doesn't fit the knife. I don't mind the look but It seems like it just doesn't ride as well in the pocket as it should. I do have to extract it in a certain way like celtic11 stated.
 
I'm not gunna pay 25 bucks for a plain clip. The edges are already worn to bare metal after 4 days carry. I think I'll polish the stock one.
 
I cut some rounds out of a scotch brite pad and screwed them on a Dremel shaft to do this. Let it be known the finish on the stock clip is impervious to oven cleaner and citri strip.
