good morning everyone, Im thinking of buying my first ZT knife, I like the 300 but its a little big and a little pricey. the 350 seems just right, a little smaller and a little cheaper..my question is, is the quality the same..or close,, is the blade thickness the same. the only difference I see in the specs is the lack of titanium..any other differences? Thanks Tom

Liner Lock Vs. Frame lock

G-10 scales vs. Titanium/G-10 3-D Machining

10% smaller vs. Full sized

I think the quality is going to be the same for all ZT knives, the 300 (of which I have experience with) is top notch

I bought a 300 (can pick them up from $150-180), but would also be happy with a 350

If I could find a zt300 for 150.00 I would gladly buy it, every one I see online is closer to 200.00, any idea where I can find one for 150.00
Thanks, Tom C

There are several differences other than size that make the 030x the better-designed blade. As others have said, the 0300 is a framelock with 3D machined handles; this is the biggest on-paper difference.

There are also several construction differences that I feel make a huge difference in quality. One is the use of larger screws throughout construction. Compared to the huge, solid, pivot bolt on the 030x, the hollow pivot on the 0350 seems small and weak (it's still plenty strong for most uses). The washer design on the 030x is by far the best I've seen on a SpeedSafe knife. Most SpeedSafe knives have a tiny washer on the torsion bar side. This results in a less stable blade support. I've yet to find a 0350 that centers perfectly every time you tighten it. The 030x's washer is huge, with a cutout slot for the torsion bar. This results in the best action I've seen on a SpeedSafe knife, with perfect blade centering.

The 0350 is still a great knife. I'm just trying to say that the price jump to the 030x is fully justified.

I took few shots of my ZT's , this might help. I like them both btw.
300 has bigger more comfortable handle( at least for my hand), 350 lighter and easy to carry , cant go wrong with ether .

+1 Pretty much says it all.

Had a 200KW first and loved it, but now usually carry a 350KW, mostly due to weight.
