This is the new MUDD knife from ZT and Kershaw. Pretty interesting beast.. this is #15 in the production, but this has the fixed clip. The first few knives had a clip that allowed the knife to grab the pocket edge. definitely a different feel to the pivot, but pretty smooth. there's virtually nowhere for dirt or water to get in and/or collect. The pivot is sealed tight, and the only other place is the lock, and that's tight as well. There's no portion of any mechanism exposed. The frame is wide open with no backspacer. There are knives that are supposed to be strong, but don't give me a lot of confidence. Whether it's the lock or exposure to the elements. This knife gives me a great deal of confidence. I'm sure I could throw this baby into wet sand at high tide and not worry about it at all. The lock up and everything else is as rock solid as all the ZT knives or any custom I've held. The price is really good for what you get. The o300 is $295, and this is at $180 with some money going to the vets. hard to beat. A little thick though... almost .75". Light but very beefy
