ZT560 vs LionSteel SR-1 (titanium)

I was deciding between 0561 and the Lionspy (not the same, but close)... went with the 0561, and am very pleased.

Ahh now I have to research the 560 some more.
Thanks for that.
More opinions, anyone?

Regular Lionsteel fits like a glove. I just cant stand the pocket clip. I mean that handle was comfy. If I had the money right now I'd go 0560 customer service will always treat you right. Made in USA.

ZT 560 of course.
Besides the fact that it's one of the best looking folders on the market, the 560 also has the best ergonomics, accompanied by top-of-the-line materials and technology.
The KVT (bearing system in the pivot) allows the knife to open almost effortlessly and the blade flies open using either the flipper or the thumb studs, but the detent does effectively hold the blade in place when needed.
It's become one of my favorite folders and the elmax blade has laughed at everything it has cut.
I like the design of the SR-1 but not enough to grab my wallet.

Well, you've convinced me. :).

I haven't handled the lionsteel, but I love my 0560. I've handled many brands of knives at the 0560 is the smoothest opening knife I've handles. It's even smoother than my AO kershaw leek.It is a very nice knife. :)

It's $530 in Australia. Would you say it's still worth it? :s.

Depends... I'm not sure I could justify that for a knife. Are you able to get the lion for the same price? I'm not a big fan of paying over MSRP, so if I'm going to spend the amount of money that can get me a custom knife, I'd be more likely to get a custom over a mass produced one.

No customs for me :/. I can only get what cuttingedgeknives or urbanconquest has in stock (or Australian eBay). The Aussie makers tend to not make many folders.
The Ti SR-1 goes for about $440.
Just for a few price points so you can feel bad for Australia
Mini-grip - $150-170
Delica - $100
ZT350 - $380
and now we can't even import ANY folding knives.
R.I.P Australian knife community.

I have a 560 and have handled an SR-1 a couple times at BladeHQ, the SR-1 was very comfortable, definitely not as grippy as the 560 though, to me at least the SR-1's blade is just to wide/fat. Of course here the ZT is $100 less than the SR-1 instead of $100 more, both should be great knives, I think its all personal preference, I prefer the blade shape and flipper to the SR-1s blade shape and thumbstud.

Wow, good for you. The Australia price bump is a tough deal, but my 0561 is my folder of preference. I love having that thing on-hand... just the other day in the kitchen my 6" santoku was too dull to slice a very soft tomato--I pulled out the zt and made clean, quick work of it (bbq burgers need fresh tomato)... my wife, smiling, shook her head... Of course, it can handle much tougher stuff than that...

Reminds me of when I went to the kitchen and picked up my dinner, grabbed a fork out of the draw and my sister says "You might need a knife for that steak!" - regardless to say I had one clipped to my pocket already ^_^

I'm not seeing it but... What is the difference between the 560 and 561?
Also, do they make a knife like that with a blade less than 3.5"? Anything bigger is illegal where I live.
