Zulu or LC pattern with a secondary smaller pen or spey blade, and lanyard hole?

I've got three standing custom orders, all fixed blades, from three different makers. This is just a dream for 2017 right now. I know that our custom slipjoint makers provide whatever pattern you need in their interpretation.

However, I've been thinking of a Zulu pattern, with a secondary pen blade, and a lanyard hole? Too much going on? Not practical? What are your thoughts?

- perhaps the lanyard hole is a tad too much/unnecessary, but otherwise sounds fine.

Nice fluted bolster too........nice job

Have a LC with pen secondary, extension spring and lanyard hole in Stag from Reese coming in a couple months. Post pics when I have it.

Just pair a Zulu with a peanut. A cheaper and IMO more elegant solution.

Edit: Sorry I misunderstood. A custom order is possible, of course. But I still think a pen blade would leave too much unused space unless these are scaled down knives.

original reply:
Both the Zulu and Lanny's clip are Tony Bose designs. Neither is a standard pattern (though there are some similarities of course) unless you are referring to the old Schrade pen knife.

As designed, a pen would would be a waste of space in my honest opinion. These are large knives and a pen would leave enough space in the well to get stuck with all the loose change that you have in your pocket.... on the bright side, you might be able to fit a small pocket knife in that extra space. ;)

If you just focus on the blade combinations.... you could reshape a sheepfoot/pen into a Zulu/pen. Or you could settle for a flat ground clip and pen.

kamagong has a nice idea of pairing the Zulu with a peanut or another small knife.
