Zulu Pivot Adjustment

I've been EDCing my Zulu for a few months now and it does slicing chores amazingly well. I've attempted to tighten the pivot in order to create a slower, more controlled opening and closing of the blade, but no matter how much I tighten the two pivot adjustment screws the tension remains the same.

I understand the the CRK Sebenza features a pivot bushing that will produce the same result, i.e the pivot will not over-tighten. Is there a similar feature in the Zulu?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry dont have one but I am sure if you give Spyderco a call they can help.

I'm 98% sure there is no pivot bushing in this knife. I will double check mine tonight and let you know what I find.

Here is an explanation from Spyderco Customer Support.

"...seeing it has a spacer in the pivot and not a nut and screw is that you cannot over tighten the pivot screws to make the action stiffer. In the last few years with changing technology and new knives being made we are using spacers in the pivot to keep the blade centered and keep the blade action consistent..."

I think this is excellent news. Thank you all for your kind assistance.
