Zytel and FRN

Are these two basically the same thing just from two different companies? or are there other significant differences between the two?

Stupid me..I always do this...should've done a search first. I just read Sal's explanation.
However I'd still like to know if their chemical make-up is the same or if they are different at all. Does anyone know?

I just know that if it doesn't have steel liners, then no FRN/zytel for me.

I understand why alot of people like double SS liners with their zytel knives but personally, if the design is a lockback, I don't see their necessity. I've never had a problem with twisting or excessive flexing with my delica (thinner zytel), native (thick zytel), or Dragonfly, Ladybug, Jester, Rescue or Endura.
