” Whale Tail Hunter in Desert Ironwood Burl”
This is a brand new design coming out of Jarrett Knives. I’ve been really reaching for an improvement in the way a hunting knife feels in the hand. I’ve been playing with many different prototypes and this one really stood out among the others. This is the “Whale Tail Hunter” - named for the unique drop in the rear of the handle. The best way to say it is that “this knife grips you back”. I have pretty good sized hands and this fits me perfectly. My grandson who is seventeen has smaller hands and he says it feels great. Lastly, my neighbor (who I think descended from Sasquatch) has very large hands and he thought it fit him very, very well. Regardless of hand size, this knife is made for hunting and to be used for extended periods of time without your arm tiring from use. Blade was differentially heat treated for hard edge while remaining springy along the spine. Very distinct hamon on this one.
Note: I've posted this piece in a few locations online so the first "I'll take it” gets It based on timestamp. A reply here precedes PM’s and emails.
