İntegral folding knives?

The other point is that they are all frame locks, not my favorite locking system. Anything like a bolster lock would, IMO, detract from the clean look of the integral.

FYI, maybe 2 years ago I bought a clone Lochsa by some Chinese company - Green Thorne, if I recall. It was surprisingly good, and they even got the unique contour of the scales. It cost like $400 instead of $4K for a plain Jane Lochsa. I gave it away.

I have several, but I don’t like the added weight. I declined a Scott Cook Lochsa, at his Blade Show Table, many years ago for this reason. I would not have carried it, but it may have made a good investment. My LionSteel Ti Dust is a 3-D Printed Titanium frame with a front lock/mid release. My BenchMade Anthem is an Axis Lock. The rest are Frame Locks.View attachment 2213613

Can you explain why that is? I'm very curious about this. And what practical advantages does it have?
More material and fewer connection points for movement or failure make it theoretically a stronger design. Fewer connections (stand-offs) mean fewer loosening screws. And less Red Locktite.

IMO it is an over-engineered development in real world uses. I don’t see the need. Someone with a structural engineering background will be able to expound.
