0-1 hamon?

For you guys that work with 0-1, can you get a hamon with it? Id like to give it a try to see what the differences between it and 1095,5160,52100, but I do like having a hamon on the blade. everyone says that you can get nice hamons with 1095, but no mention of them with 0-1.

TO get a hamon you need a shallow hardening steel, 1095, w1-2, 1050 or any low manganese steel with little or no additional alloying elements. The high alloy steels are made to harden with a slower oil. You cannot get a true hamon with O1. You can do an edge quench and get a quench line but little to no activity. Good luck

a quench line like what I get with 52100 when I edge quench? That will be fine. Ill go ahead and order some! Thanks!
