I've tried various suggestions I've read on this and other sites but I can't seem to get the blade centered on mine. If I screw the pivot down enough so it is centered, it is impossible to open the blade.

I read somewhere where someone suggested loosening the grip screws and manipulating the grips in opposite directions until the blade was near centered but that doesn't work. I don't get any play in the grips at all, never mind enough to center the blade.

Does someone know of a definitive way to center the blade that will absolutely work?

Thanks,

This usually works for me:

1. Loosen the pivot
2 Loosen all of the handle/scale/grip and clip screws
3. Hold the blade centered with your thumb or place a piece of cardboard on both sides of the blade to keep it centered
4. Tighten the pivot screw while keeping it centered
5 Tighten the handle/scale/grip and clip screws-on many knives, the clip is a non-issue, but some affect it

You can also use a very small amount of blue or purple loctite on the pivot to keep it set.

Thanks Daniel. I've tried all that but I never tried the clip.screws as well. I'll give it a shot. . .
