As the title says, this is a 1,000 post give away. I'm not the most prolific poster, it took over two years to get to my 1,000th post. But I spend time on the forum almost daily and have come to know it as another place that feels like home. The reason it feels like home is because of you fine people that live here in the traditional neighborhood. Your kindness, generosity and knowledge is unmatched, if the rest of the world could live up to this standard it would be a much better place.

So here are two knives that I would like to offer as a thank you to regular posters in the traditional forum. Since one is a very small size and I know some people don't care for such a small knife there will be two winners. Each winner will get one knife. Please indicate in your entry which knife you would like to enter for (#1 or #2), and please enter only once and for only one of the choices. I'll limit entries to members with at least 50 posts in the traditional forum.

Knife #1.....
The small knife is a G.E.C. #09 (2 3/4” closed) chestnut jigged bone handle Esquire. It's in “as new” condition, and a really cool little tike.


Knife #2.....
The larger knife (3 5/8” closed) is a G.E.C. #92 OD green micarta handled Talon. It's in slightly used condition because it's been pocket carried some, but it's close to new condition.


Both knives come with the original wax paper and tube.
I'll ship anywhere in the world the USPS will deliver to, at my cost.

Entries closed at midnight eastern standard time Friday Aug. 8th.
Winners will be drawn at random old school style from a hat by my lovely assistant on Saturday Aug. 9th.

Thanks for the chance, clutch, and congrats on your post count and the new Toole trapper you posted elsewhere. I carried my Toole to church this morning!

Please put me in for the #09 Esquire, as I already have a #92, although a slightly different model.
 
I am grateful for the chance at this generous gaw. I have never had an 09 so put me down for #1. Thanks clutch.
 
What an awesome gaw! Two of the best patterns from GEC. I will throw my name in for the little esquire, thank you again for your generosity and congrats on the milestone here.
 
Very generous give away knives, both are fantastic. Congrats on first K posts.
I won not long ago a great knife (thanks Brett :)) so this is not an entry.

So very generous of you. I feel greedy entering this one, but I can't resist putting my name in for that sweet Esquire. I almost always carry a little Buck 305 for the little jobs, and having a fancy pen knife in 1095 carbon would be lovely.

Congrats on the 1000 (I'm nearing that myself- got to do something about that) ;)

That Esquire certainly is a great looking knife and would make any man proud of his knife.

Congrats on the 1,000 post mark and thanks for the chance and generosity. I will throw my hat in for number 2 as I'm trying to diversify my scale choices.
