2.5-3 is where I’ve spent my life( Buck 303 for most of it) Mnandi is now always in my pocket. Work knives ( when I still did real work) have usually been in the 3.5 range ( over that is illegal here). I recently re-added a 3.5 back to my out of office carry as a utility / SD folder to ride along with the G19 and MD3 because todays world sucks…
The Houge Mini RSK has become my favorite EDC. It is light, smooth, grippy and the steel is plenty useful. I lost one for 4 days and immediately bought another in fear of losing one or the chance that they quit making them. Have a never touched one in the pouch and box sitting in the safe. Before that it was my small Insingo for a long time. Before that it was a 3" XM18 slicer and before that a Native 5 G10. If I were thrown on an island to survive and could only have one of these, it would probably be the XM as it is a tank that can still slice. The Insingo is my choice for food prep/slicing. Some think the blade shape is ugly, but it is phenomenal performer.
