I bought this for my grinder project but ended up going with a VFD.

It is new and unused, never even took the instructions out. Still under 1 year warranty.

Made by Anderson Converters and this is the heavy duty model which is suitable to start under a load and designed for frequent start/stop cycles.

It will only work with 1-3 hp 3 phase motors.

It will not work with applications that require 3 phases. When you hook up a static converter to a 3 phase motor it runs at 2/3 horsepower on household 220.

$70 shipped

Hi Friend,

Does that mean 2/3 HP, or two thirds of the HP of the motor? For instance, if the it's a 3HP motor it would run as a 2HP one?

Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil,

It will run the motor at 2/3 rated power.

So your example is correct - a 3 HP motor would run at 2 hp.

Thanks!

I'll take the static phase converter. Send me an email to lewis at gandalf23 dot com with payment information.

Thanks,
Lewis
