Once again, I am overstocked on 1/4"1075. This batch has carbon and manganese on the high side.
I'll have one sheet on the laser table next week and can offer cut shapes (you provide dxf file) or rectangles. Deadline is Fri 7/15.
Shapes are $1.25 per linear inch for any pattern that is narrower than 2.5" and has 5 holes or less. So a 10" knife would be $12.50.
Rectangles are $4.25/lb, which works out to $0.30 per square inch.
STEEL INFO:
Melted and manufactured in the US with certs
Cold rolled - although it looks more like HRPO to me
Annealed
0.78% C, 0.71% Mn, 0.20% Si, 0.06% Ni, 0.14% Cr, 0.02% Mo
DETAILS:
These prices include steel and laser cutting only. Prices do not include heat-treat, design, shipping, or any other process or service.
Minimum $50 order please.
My email is info (at) tempercraft (dot) com
Inquire via email for pricing on patters that don't fit the above sizes, or to request price matching.
You must provide a clean CAD or vector file of your cut patterns composed of lines and arcs only (no splines or ellipses). I can offer this service for a fee, but you may find someone to do it for free/cheap elsewhere, such as https://www.reddit.com/r/cad. Alternatively, you can choose from a small library of CAD designs I have. Email to inquire.
All areas of your design must have a minimum interior radius of half the steel thickness (applies to holes, cutouts, indents, etc only).
Assume blanks will be warped.
Assume holes will not be perfectly round - either omit them from your design or draw them undersized if critical.
Laser cut edges/holes will be rock hard. You will need to anneal or stress relieve to machine with non-carbide tooling.
Email to request a cut sample.
There is an unavoidable loss rate on the laser. If I short you (i.e. you order 11 pieces but I ship 10), I will refund a prorated dollar amount.
I can also offer in-house tumbling. Email to inquire.
I will set up payment options on my website and can accept PayPal or credit cards there.
SHIPPING:
Items that can fit in a USPS flat-rate box (13" long) will ship for $15.
Otherwise I will quote UPS ground.
Thanks!
