1/4" INFI

Cliff is still active on YouTube at least somewhat recently. He was gone before my time here. I do enjoy his insightful and knowledgeable ramblings. Of all the people that have been banned he seems like the only one worth reconsidering.

Yep - I have read a lot, not nearly as much as some, maybe more than others, and I like getting perspectives on knives, angles, steels, etc to be knowledgeable enough to temper my expectations realistically with different blades (pun intended after writing, so I guess technically it was unintended)...

I find that to be one of the best qualities for me to possess around knives (and any tool for that matter) - no knife can be quite all things in one, and going in knowing that is a good place to be for me.

I also enjoy when people post mods and how-to's - it has expanded my ability to make knives fit different needs better, and being able to convex my own edges now is a big step for me.

Oh yeah - 1/4" INFI Rocks!!! Although that is about as thick as I like my bacon, with some exceptions in the .27-.28" zone and one .312 ASHBM and a Fudge...

I am re-profiling an original Mean Street right now...it has taken some work...

See - all on topic!

In the early days 1/4" thick (or thicker) INFI was about all there was. There were a limited # (~100?) of Lean Mean Streets, and I think the thickness was about 3/16"? Let us know how you like your re-profiled Mean Street, and I would enjoy seeing some photos.

Many years ago apparently there was some speculation that Cliff Stamp was really Jerry Busse, I suppose because Cliff was favorable toward Busse knives. :)
