1/8 A2 stock: Edge & HT?

I would heat treat the knife before I grind the blade. That's the best way to go about it. It's the way I do in my shop. ----:thumbup:
 
i grind 3/32 stock all the time before heat treat thats cpm154 tho
you can do it both ways the edge is abut the thickness of a dime when i heat it

i aslo heat treat in foil packs to all but stop decarb
 
Leaving a 1/16th edge should be more than adequate. Warpage isn't really caused by edge thickness. If the edge is too thin it can become way, like the edge of a potato chip. It can do that without blade warpage. Got the "trophies" to prove it. I hate it when that happens.
