Here is a design I haven’t seen before. I classify it as a drop point, but it is sharing characteristics of other types of knives. Its tip is slightly above the blades centerline, but is close to symmetrical, like in a spear point. Inspiration also came from a sheepfoot blade. Curiosity got the better of me in wanting to see what sheepfoot would look like with not just a belly, but with one running two-thirds of its cutting edge.

One thing’s for sure… this snake will bite!

Very nice Nick! Those should sell fast! Anyone lucky enough to pick one of your knives will not be disappointed! I have still been getting my B&T bloody every weekend!

I appreciate the comment, Alamor. I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

Blade shape reminds me of the modified sheepsfoot mini-grip if the spine were straight and didn't have the spyie-hole. That blade design should be fantastic for EDC.

With the 90 degree spine, how does the spine feel against the hand for using a thumb or index finger to choke on or utilize like a scalpel for shallow penetrating cuts? It's one of the things that has kept the sheeps mini-grip in my pocket for so much longer than at other folder. This one isn't in the cards today but I'll be checking back to see if you make some more down the road, possibly with a full-flat grind.

Ha! Your knowledge of different knife designs is pretty darn impressive, bikerector. I had to look up the mini grip, and I’d have to agree. Turns out my original design wasn’t original. Hahaha

I haven’t noticed any discomfort with the spine’s 90 degree edges. I notice the edges are squared only when I consciously think about it. I think choking up on the blade for scalpel-like use would benefit with less of the drop point that it has, but I certainly wouldn’t rule out its ability to perform an action like that.
One of the enjoyable things about working for myself as a knife maker, is that I can modify the design at anytime for the customer. ;)

It’s always a pleasure to read the comments and suggestions, so keep them coming.

Thanks, everyone!
