1" Belts on 2" Grinder?

I have a 2 x 42 Craftsman grinder and ordered some 1 x 42 belts to run on it. Due to the limited selection of 2 x 42 belts I assumed that the 1" belts would work. I am having trouble getting the 1" belts to track properly. They will track pretty good to the right but they will not track all the way to the left. I even made a 1" exact copy of my 2" platen and it still did not work. The best I can tell the issues I am having are due to the 2" tracking wheel. Any suggestion to fix my situation and make the 1" belts work?

Try building a crown on your tracking wheel. Masking tape works super good for this and will last for years. Frank
