I'm not a coated or combo edge fan so its all pretty basic.

But if a rare discontinued Emerson comes up for sale and its coated or combo I'll still buy it.

I'm the same. I like SF PE blades, but when I found my Specwar With a hard chrome plated blade, I had to jump on it. even though it has a combo edge.
 
Im the exact opposite. I had 10 Emersons and a couple Zts now I have 1 Emerson and a bunch of Hinderers and Medfords
 
Same thing happened to me...sold off some knives and got deep into emersons.

All within the past month.

It's an awesome knife for the price. The ergos are similar to the cqc8. Spring is fairly decent...it's no Protech but much better than most. And can't go wrong with CPM154

I didn't know they were using CPM 154. I gonna have to check this one out.
 
Yeah that is a sweet collection you have going there Udiver; love it. I sometimes wish that Emerson still put the year on the blades, I just think it's cool to have it, but at the end I really don't care, they're still bad a.

Man you have some sick blades! I just love the Gypsy Jack, I still kick myself for not getting one while they were available. Hey and that serial number is a cool number on the 15.

Thanks man! I just picked up the 15 on Thursday at Emerson. It was a display model, even though it's from 2012 I loved the number on it and that's why I picked it up. It had been there for so long because most people want a new one in box.
The gypsy Jack I picked up 2-3 weeks ago at a local gun shop...I always find great stuff there because most people that go are gun guys and not into knives as much. It was sitting for a long time and the date is 2012 as well. Found a benchmade MPR and a ZT0550 too. I left the 550 since its 2nd gen. It's still there.

Thanks guys, just added two more Emerson's to the collection this week, PDW SpecWar and the Vindicator.
