We all have to do what gets us through the day. Right now my wife and I are grieving the loss of a beloved dog that had been with us the past ten years. This site helps me focus on other things for a while. There is no particularly right or wrong way...just ways.

Since this discussion is more about community matters than knives per se, moving it to community, while leaving a link to the discussion in GKD.

Thank you, Blues. And sorry that I’ve had you focus on my posts not always being compliant, Ha. But in all seriousness sir, thank you for everything including your patience. I’m always here if you want to shoot the bull, talk knives, or just vent. We’ve got a sweet community here, and you’ve definitely been a great advocate. I hope you and your wife find a peaceful path forward although there’s nothing wrong with however y’all make it through. The important thing is to make it through!

Hahaha, funny you mention that - I have a fishing trip planned with a fellow member and friend for a Dungeness crab fishing trip and then salmon fishing in Oregon for next Thursday! We’ll be meeting up with another member who coincidentally has a trip scheduled for the same time but different species. So we plan to get together afterwards, share and cook our catch, and show off our collections! Should be a great time.

Lord I love Dungeness. Send some my way! Went to a somewhat local seafood restaurant yesterday that flies their seafood in fresh. Unfortunately, their menu has been greatly reduced since the plandemic. They used to have king, queen (bairdi), dungeness, kona, and blue crab (occasionally) and usually blue crab claws. Now its, just King and Queen crab. Still was delicious, but not the same.
