when you go to mail out a persons goods after they win an auction, i would think you would make them sign for it , when it get to them; other wise what keeps them from saying they never got it. thanks for the replys.

Some sellers do require a signature, yes. If it's a valuable item, that's probably a good idea.

If you are using Pay-Pal, MAKE SURE you get Delivery Confirmation of some kind. If you don't, the buyer can say he never received the item, and Pay-Pal will side with him. I almost got burned once on a deal for close to $500 just because I didn't get Delivery Confirmation, which costs next to nothing. I didn't know the rules of Pay-Pal at the time. My fault for not reading the fine print.

Yes, the .45 cents for Priority Mail and .55 cents for first class, for delivery confirmation, is money well spent.

And until the transaction is completted to both parties satisfaction, keep both the delivery confirmation slip, but the actual reciept for payment the P.O. gives you. It has the recipients zip code and the D.L. numbers on it also, proving that it's the reciept for that shipment.

You got lost and posted this in Community Center. I'd better move it to TGB&U quick before K.V. sees the off-topic thread and has a cow.
