Thanks Andre!! I think crazyshank's #184 is better looking than #51.. it's just a Plain Jane with the rare bead blast finish.. nothing decorative about it.. again nice catch crazyshanks!!

I stand corrected, so only the first 200 "Regular" Sebenzas no matter the size were numbered James?

That is right, didn't matter if it was Large, Small, Plain, or Decorated, only the first 200 made were numbered in order of manufacture.

She is a real beauty Dave. And I didn't know that they were numbered that way, thanks James for the clarification.
Take care

My recollection is a bit different (and the older I get, the less I trust it . . . :o). I remembered the large regulars to be introduced several months earlier than the small regulars. I snagged a few of the numbered larges (10, 52, and 63), and then when the smalls came out, I thought the smalls were also serialized, independently from the larges. I was able to grab a few of those (3 & 133). Here are some of the cards, 3rd row down:

If anyone happens to have small #10, #52, or #63, or large #3 or #133 (or some other example of lg and sm having the same number), I'd be more convinced of my memory. :)

Dave, interesting bit of information, I suppose we could start a list and see if there is any crossover. There was a recent thread about the earliest known model with BG-42, there are some numbers listed there. I do wonder if the handles were made in batches back then, that might explain part of it, but your #3 small is the lowest numbered model I have seen. If there were 200 large and 200 small I imagine somebody would have tried to make a matched set along the way as well.
