#1 is a Craftsman Old Crafty 2 blade Barlow #9540.
Carried with marks and patina, but the blades are solid, with no play and a light easy to open pull of about a 3-4 on the main with a bit more on the pen with no half stops on either.
Solid brown sawcut delrin, solid steel bolsters & brass liners.
(I don't have a clue as to the reason for the dimples in the bolsters, they are offset from each other so I don't think they have anything to do with the pivot pin.
)
$25.00 shipped.SOLD
#2 is a Craftsman Old Crafty stockman.#9546.
This is the same knife as the Schrade 34OT.
3.5" length.Brown sawcut delrin,ns bolsters,brass liners.
Good snap on all blades with no play.
It has carry marks on the covers and plenty of patina from years of carry.
Ready for many more years of service.
$20.00 shipped.
#3 Craftsman 9507 Peanut/Pony Jack
Brown Jigged delrin, with one pin crack on the mark side at the spring pin.
Used but in good shape.Light to med. snap on both blades. No play either way.
$15.00 shippedSOLD
#4 A nice solid Imperial Stockman with punch.
Manufactured between 1930 and 1936.Lots of history in this old guy.
3.5" in length.Nice and slim with rounded bolsters for unobtrusive pocket carry.
Someone carried & used this one pretty regularly as you can see from the blade wear.
Luckily they didn't wear it out and there is plenty of life left in it.
Just a little side play on the main that you have to try to feel.
It has excellent snap on all blades with no half stops.
Sharpens up very very nicely.
The solid Red Celluloid covers are pinned as is the NS shield. The bolsters are solid NS also with brass liners, no shell handles here.
No outgassing of the celluloid covers has occurred and they don't appear to have shrunk at all.
I filed the kick on the spey blade so it sets below the liners, then flushed the liners with the springs.
I also gave the main a few licks with the file just for the heck of it.
No worries about the spey sitting too high for comfortable use.
Check out the near sunken joints also.
One fine old pocket knife with plenty of history and life left in it just needing a pocket to call home.
$20.00 shipped.SOLD
