10,000 Posts! A Diamond Giveaway, with A WINNER!

Some nice creative Diamonds coming up in this thread.
Thanks everyone so far - very enjoyable. I wondered how long it would take for a baseball diamond (or part of one) to appear - It was almost instant!!
Way to go Smithhammer!

WOW, awesome give away. Thanks for the chance.

My wife wanted to know why I needed her ring. Are you trading it for a knife??? No honey, I promise:nevreness:

Scratching around to try to find something different, I came up with this:

Hi Charlie
Well 10,000!!! good grief! well done, and I am not alone in saying I hope theres many more times that to come.
Charlie is the Gentleman who lured me into Traditionals, I used to visit Bernards Thread only - not knowing that Traditionals even existed, now thanks to Charlie I like everyone of you reading this - am caught in the spiral of spending on these fantastic knives we share....heres my introduction and beginning of my love affair with any knife with D/E on its Shield...

Not an entry Charlie-as much as I would love to, but I have been such a lucky recipient of your help, advice, generosity and friendship I feel, so thank you for all that you do for all of us - I am sure this opinion is shared widely.
Thank you Charlie.

Congrats Charlie!!....10K is an awesome milestone by any means.....This is not an entry as i too have been the beneficiary of your generosity..Thank you so much for all that you contribute here.................p.s My grandfather was chief engineer in the merchant navy during WW2...he was based in Calcutta, and when the tides were favourable he would sell the surplus coal on the black market...This money was given to my grandmother, who would buy gemstones off the wealthy women who came through the Burma Trek....my mother recalls these women turning up at their house, dirty and dishevelled and they would pull solid gold hair pins from their heads, encrusted in diamonds, rubies and emeralds...many of the stones were in uncut form.....FES

A couple of old traditional diamonds in the rough from very different traditions:

A 25 Years of Service pin from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (don't know where I put the 30 year pin and I'll get a 35 year pin later this year) with a miniscule diamond, an EZE LAP diamond stone and my # 48 Jack (very partial to this size and configuration of Jack knife).

Thanks, Charlie and I can't wait for your 100,000th post giveaway.

Thanks for all you do around here! I don't own a Barlow (ducks for cover, I was told that my cousin will mail it to Canada tomorrow!), so I guess a Keen Kutter Harness Jack that I obtained from Mr. Waynorth, along with the inheritance for our kids:

What a cool idea and thank you for the chance! Here is my 66 Jack Rotten Banana Bone with my fiances engagement ring sitting on a couple stabilized chunks of black & white ebony I hope to someday have put on a knife or two. This is a pretty horrible picture as I left my halfway decent camera at work so I had to try and make do with our other $49 camera that I hate with a passion! :) After 20 pictures this is the best I could do and i had to really mess with contrast and color temps to get it to where the colors and shading in the bone looked even a little bit realistic.

This wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. My grandpa's "tuxedo" knife, if I remember correctly what I've been told:

Thanks for the chance, Charlie!

Congratulations on the milestone Charlie, and thanks for everything you bring to this great forum :)

I have a long planned house move looming, and a lot of my knick-knacks are packed away. Not that Chez Noir usually has diamonds scattered around, but you know what I mean! :D Had to rip the gaffer (duct) tape off a few boxes just to find this!

Wow! Congratulations on the landmark Mr C.
I've been out of the loop for a while due to work, so I had to go away and check what this diamond malarky is all about.

Thanks for such a great competition and such an interesting one too.
As you say, there have been some great interprative compositions so far.

Here is my offering, inescapably connected to work.....

Good luck all!
