Got an idea...

For anybody getting an AK villager:

Pay Uncle Bill an extra $25 and have it sent to me for the "full treatment" and I'll send it to you (FOC).

I think he could use the extra spending cash...what do you guys think?!? :D

Good job on the pix, Bill.

Tilt! Got the numbers switched. AKs gone. Have a couple of sirupatis left. Sorry. Things not normal these days.

payment sent...one of them is mine

been a while since I caught one of these in time

villager's a villager...deal's still on for me.

FOC - free of charge

:p

any takers yet, Bill?

Question on the 12 inchers. What is the main use? I would imagine you could chop firewood with them? How are they for trail clearing like say 1/4 to 1/2 inch branches? Could they cut them or bounce off? My 18" AK bounces off small branches. Is the smaller AK faster and can cut limbs?

HD:

My 12" AK is great for splitting small stove wood inside (such as in a tent) where you don't have room to swing a bigger tool. It will also slice right through a hanging 1/2" green branch without any problem.

I just got a 12" Siru and haven't tried it out much, but so far it appears to be about the most useful belt knife you can get. That curved blade seems to supercharge the cutting action. It feels like a knife though, where the AK still feels like a (miniaturized) nose-heavy chopping khuk.

E-mail sent. Pen, I'm taking you up on your offer, I'll be sending you an e-mail soon. Thanks for such a generous offer.

Ed & RR - thanks! Figure on a week or two for me to get them finished.

Bill - Enjoy one on us!

:) All right, I just got my confirmation e-mail from Uncle Bill! I've heard so much about these little beauties, now I get to try one out for myself. We'll see how it does for splitting the breastbone of a whitetail this winter, I tried it with my Marbles last year and it tore up the edge pretty badly. I think an HI is made of slightly tougher stuff. Thanks Dan and Uncle Bill, you both just made my evening a little brighter.
