This hand made slipjoint folder by John has a European styling to it, very similar to some Italian regional knives I've seen. When the blade is folded & closed, the pivot end has the " sunk joint " ( tang lies below the liners ) ,and the tip end folds in under the liners as well. Folded up it is sleek & compact. It is light ,slim & trim. The blade is a slender spear profile, with a drawn swedge & crescent nail pull. The handle shape fits your hand like a glove. Spring is flush in all half stop positions, blade centers closed. Pull is a 5 , and very smooth with nice action. Liners are mill relieved & ss. Pins are ss. Shield is pinned & inlaid,ss. Blade & spring are CPM -154 ss , the new stamp with cursive letters indicates that. Knife measures 4-3/8" closed,7.5" open. Blade measures 3-1/8" with 2-7/8" of cutting edge. Hafted in really nice mammoth, perfectly matched. Fit,finish, walk n talk , are real nice. This is a real nice unique knife from John. Prices include shipping in the States. Knife will ship in a leather , fleece padded storage case.
