Wow. $35. I need to watch forum more closely. Do these deals come out at the same time each week ?

Good thing that sirupati didn't have wooden grips instead of horns, I'd have been forced to shark it!

Sweet knife that Sirupate. So you dont like horn? Is it slippery or something like that? I don't have anything with horn yet myself.

Hej på dig förresten.

Good luck Umi! I hope ndog has room for both of us. I'm up to fifteen in two months. If the wife ever finds the stash spot I'll need to make permanent arrangements with ndog.

Just kidding really. She thinks Khukuri's are cool and generally speaking she takes no notice of such things. I'm blessed!

I just purchased the villager. Three kukri bought since joining forum four days ago. That's either very good or very bad. But I actually was looking for another
good bushcraft knife and searches on the Web somehow brought up kukri knives then I landed here. Considering I paid less than a benchmade bushcrafter that's not bad I guess.

Bubba welcome to the club, you're on track with a lot of us, you're not alone. I too bought a Villager for the exact same reason, I treat the others as shelf queens. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Based on the description of what a villager is. I assume it's something you can use and abuse without having to worry about scuffing it up. That's what I thought when I looked it up on the site.

100% in agreement with your assessment.

Man I can never time this right, keep hoping to shark a chirra. . . someday . . .

What is the boneutter model's forte? I assume from the name that you wouldn't want to get hit by it. But it looks too big for self defense so I assume it's mainly for heavy chopping or perhaps slicing a deer in half instead of field dressing it?

Yeah, it's for cutting up a deer into steaks (like salmon steaks). :D
Just kidding, of course. Yes, it's forte is heavy chopping, hence the shape with the extra steel weight toward the tip of the blade (and no fullers), but with a super-strong chiruwa full-tang handle. Not warranted for actually cutting bone, though, since chopping some bones can damage a blade.

That's a great price. I was tempted.
