Have had many folders over the years but now only have the following (all users). In order of pocket time :
1. Strider SNG - have carried for 8 years
2. CRK Inkosi Insingo
3. Koenig Arius (current user)
4. Shirogorov Quantum gen2 - headed back to Shiro for service

Looking for a Les George VECP .

Have 8 fixed blades now so the out number the folders

This is a lot easier for me than it would have been a year or so ago. I sold off a lot of my collection.
Here’s my list in no particular order
1. Smkw lava flow Spyderco pm2
2 Medford slim midi
Next 4 all Hinderer
3 xm-18 3.5
4. Xm-18 3.0
5. Firetac
6. Eklipse 3.0
7. Mcnees 3.5
8. Socom elite
9. SBD Evo typhoon
10. Benchmade bugout. I will probably be shunned for this but I hate the bugout the only reason it made my list is because it was a bday gift from a family member that is no longer with us.

No way I can get to 10 but let's see how far I can get...
Manix 2 LW
Para 2
Military
Benchmade 913
Benchmade 890
OK well 5 out of 10

Live without maybe now quite. I take this exercise more as what 10 would be the last I’d sell if I suddenly became unemployed ;)
Exactly, that's what I meant. It's not meant to be taken literally. There's no need to analyze the literal meaning of the statement or dwell on the semantics. Just name your favorite 10 folding knives is what I meant.

I think I own fewer than 10 knives total. I sold off the bulk of them a few months back so I just recently played this game.

1. Zt 452cf
2. Buck 110
3. Opinel engraved with my last name
4. SAK champ
5. SAK classic
6. SAK Spartan

I think those are my only folders. Besides that I just have my Spartan blades horkos and a schrade sharpfinger

My knives have trended smaller as I’ve gotten older and I spend more time in an office rather than the field. This would be my top 10 if I chose today…could be entirely different tomorrow.

I'm not sure there are 10 folders worth having. There's just not enough to differentiate them for me.

Now fixed blades are a different story. ;)
I have discovered folding knives to be quite useful because they are so easy to carry, especially given all of the inane laws against having knives on one's person. Of course, this is not an issue if you live in a rural area or a municipality and state run by someone who believes in individual liberties. However, I have discovered that those places are becoming fewer and farther between. So, it depends on your jurisdiction, but not every jurisdiction is friendly to people carrying fixed blade knives as your edc, and they don't mind showing you. That is one of the main reasons I see significant utility in folding knives beyond how easy they are to carry and conceal.

My favorite fixed blades to carry are my ESEE 3 S35VN steel, LionSteel M4 M390, and my little ESEE Xancudo S35VN, and I EDC these knives from time to time. Of course, when I'm out camping, hunting or fishing, I carry anything I feel like, but it's becoming harder and harder to find days off from work to do those kinds of things these days.
