There were a few requests for 10" long blocks so a knife with matching wood sheath could be made. Here are a few really good pieces. If you don't want to make a wood sheath, well you can get 2 handles from one of these.

Photos show the wood dampened with water. There are no visible flaws in any of these pieces. These have only had a light sanding at 100 grit. When you fine sand and finish these the figure will look even better.

These blocks are Eastern Maple. Real hard stuff!

Just say "I'll take #.... and I will mark it sold and send you payment info. Shipping is free in the US. International priority mail is $10.

Mark -how hard would it be to stabilize them-as far as there size and warping issues? -marekz

Marekz, it's not my fault I caught ya snoozin on these. I might let ya have it for $35 plus shipping. ;) Nah, I can't be givin up pretty wood. Besides, every time I see a nice piece of wood for sale on here, you've beat me to them. I got all excited when I seen these three and was going to buy all three till I seen you had only left one for me so I had to snag it while I could. The big piece was just icing on the cake!!!

Dangit. I was one who requested the long pieces. If you have more, and especially if they have already been stabilized, I will certainly buy some.

I just stabilized a batch of this same wood. It took a bit longer than western maple because it is harder wood. Barely moved during the heat curing step. Less than normal. Over a 12 inch length there was less than 1/16" inch bow to sand away. I always try to leave some extra just in case so when I true up the blocks it does not become too small. Stayed true to color when stabilized as well. I need to get more of this stuff.

Got the notice - It will take months to finish the project I have lined up for them, but I'll be sure to show you what I've done when (if) it comes out.

Thanks!

got mine today--as always wow--beautiful----along with the curly walnut--. mystery block???????--thanks marekz
